The Puppini Sisters - Christmas With The Puppini Sisters!!!!

The Puppini Sisters have a lovely and perfect album out for this holiday season entitled: "Chrsitmas With The Puppini Sisters."This album is the ladies 3rd album and they stay true to their music stylings of neo-swing sounds which are a perfect way to wring in the holidays!!!

The musical group are in fact not sisters and do not have the last name Puppini but this plays into the 1940's acts such as "The Andrew Sisters" and others with a classic look and sound. These ladies have been known to take classic songs and make it their own with a Puppini twist! This Christmas album does the same, taking classic standards such as "Santa Baby" & "Mele Kalikimaka" and others and making you want to get up and swing the night away! These ladies sound will bring you back to a 40's but with a flare of jazz, and more! These ladies are a class act!!

Hangin' on a string by Cristobal's music
What made you get into the music industry?
My Father exposed me to a lot of different music as a child and it is something that I always wanted to do since an early age... I have always loved music

What was your first gig?
As a back up singer in underground club called Click!

What was your first milestone as a musical artist?

Recording my fist song ("Hangin' on a String").

Your first major single is your current: “Hangin’ on a String” (original ballad & remix), tell us how this song came to life and what made you record this song in particular.
Sometimes when you are in love one tries to express it through a song such as "Hangin' on a String." I guess that is just a song that comes from my heart!

Does your current single have a particular special message to you and what you want it to convey to the listeners?
Its about being vulnerable when you are totally in love, hopelessly in love!

Where do you see yourself in the future in the music industry?
Keep doing music...for me doing music is not only something I want, is a necessity

Tell us about yourself, perhaps a few interesting facts about the recording artist Cristobal that many do not know.
I am just a Happy guy who lives his life to the fullest... there is so many things i want to do ... not sure if one life will be enough.

Tell us more about your successful modeling career.
Modeling is something I did in the past and enjoyed but not really focusing on that anymore.

What is it like getting into the music industry?
It is fascinating , being able to express yourself to music is a wonderful gift but you need to be multifaceted as an artist you have to be the whole package and a business man as well as the secretary.

Who are some of the artists that are part of your “dream list” that you would love to collaborate with?
Alicia keys, Mariah Carey, Alejandro Sanz (Spanish Singer) Lenny Kravitz, Shakira …. the list is long

Tell us about your current project you are working on.
I am about to record my first cover, and I want to record it in Spanish as well

Where do you draw upon for inspiration when working on new material?

Its all about connecting to my feelings and expressing them honestly

What would you tell up and coming artists that are trying to get into the industry?

Do it .. and do it now.

How do you choose your tracks to record?
They choose me, I feel drawn to them.

When people listen to music from Cristobal, what do you want them to remember about your music?
The emotion that is poured into each lyric of every song.

How would you want someone to describe a Cristobal performance when seeing you live to others?

I wanna make people laugh and cry

Who are some of your role models inside and out of the music industry and why?

Alicia Keys, Mariah, Whitney, Tina Turner, Adele... I am all about diva voices. Outside the music industry I admire Angelina Jolie for all the good things she does around the world and because she is so damn gorgeous. Angelina uses her career and beauty to help others who are in need.
What are some of the lessons that you have learned thus far in the music business?
To let my ego go in the studio and just sing my ass off

Is there a dream venue for you to perform at, why?
the Superbowl...do you need the why? lol

What do you think of programs such as the hit forums for artists: “American Idol” & “X Factor?”
They are great places to reveal raw vocal talent but they don't shine light on musical artist.

Lastly, what is the phrase when someone describes Cristobal as an artist?

Pop music with some R&B and Latin flavour

Tell us about meeting Chris Crocker who is featured on your up-coming single: “Bang!” and how the partnership occurred.

- Well that’s a good question! Haha, I’ve never actually met Chris, yet. It was a kind of crazy situation, I had this really amazing song and I knew I wanted a strong individual to be featured on it but I didn’t know who and I was on Twitter one day, seriously, and I saw him and it just clicked for me. I admire how fearless he is, and he loved the song and well, Bang here we are!

Tell us about how you came about writing “Bang!” your up-coming single.

- It was a 2 year process to write the song, mainly because I had to get a lot of things out, sound wise with my first EP before I could even wrap my head around writing a dance track. In September I started to listen to A LOT of current music and tried to figure out what I liked about it all and the song started coming to me, and when I wrote the part “UK to LA feel it boom in San Trope” I thought, this is horrible! But it really worked in the end, it’s a fun song but it has meaning behind it for me.

How would you describe your music?

- Ahh I always find this question so difficult to answer. I believe my music is honest, edgy and passionate and regardless of how well my music sells at one point or another I had those feelings that I sing about in every song. I’m not a manufactured artist and I think that’s what sets me apart.

You did a terrific music video for your current single: “Out Of My Mind” tell us your inspiration for the video
- Thank You! I knew right away that Out of My Mind would be the single and since I’m a performer when I start writing a song I envision how the video would look, the choreography, story and all of that so it was pretty clear for me. I’ve always been a big horror movie fan and I wanted to make a video that was kind of crazy in a way, I got to work with Charlie Vaughn again who directed and he did an amazing job as always. It was stressful filming since we were on a big time crunch but in the end it really worked, I think we filmed the whole video in 6 hours. Its cool to still watch something and be proud of it, my blood, sweat and tears are in that little video!

What is in store for us in your next video?
- That’s a loaded question! I’m hammering out the last details of the video but its definitely going to be a game changer for me. I’m a perfectionist and can be a little crazy when it comes to things like this, but I have the best team possible around me, I’m working with Joey Cooper on choreography who I did a show with in 2006 as well as Boogiezone. So they’re bringing a lot to the table, without giving too much away ill just say that its going to be a bad ass video!

What made you get into the music industry?
- Purely passion

What was your first gig?

- My first gig was at Eleven Nightclub, I was beyond nervous. I had been recording my album and it was the first time debuting my music and also the first time a lot of people saw me as Ryan the artist.

What was your first milestone as a musical artist?

- I think for me, what made me realize Hey you’re on the right track was when I began to receive letters from people telling me how much of an inspiration I was, and how my music helped them through tough times, that really is a milestone to me. I didn’t set out to be an inspiration but hearing things like that really makes me realize how lucky I am

You are an accomplished actor, dancer and recording artist, where do you see yourself in the future in both industries?

-EVERYWHERE! Haha, I really love music and it goes hand in hand for me with acting, so I definitely want to have a big movie under my belt. I see myself experimenting a lot with music and my voice too so definitely a few more albums and a world tour!

What is it like getting into the music industry?

-Its tough and I believe you have to be 100% passionate about it or else you’ll be eaten alive. I’ve spent more money on making music then the profit ive gotten but its worth it to me because I live, eat and breathe music. Its not easy that’s for sure

Who are some of the artists that are part of your “dream list” that you would love to collaborate with?
I really like Rihnnas new music, so that would be awesome and I envision doing a duet with Lady GaGa at some point, but I think a big dream would be to collaborate with Davey Havok from AFI, I would love to write a song with him!

Tell us about your current project you are working on.

- Well im getting ready to release BANG on the 13th and am so excited to get that out for everyone to hear and dance to. It’s a little nerve wrecking before a release because you don’t know how everyone will respond to it. On top of that im planning the music video which will, fingers crossed be shot in early January

Where do you draw upon for inspiration when writing new material?

-All of my inspiration comes from personal experiences. I made a vow to myself in the beginning that I would never sing a song I didn’t experience, and I think its great for my fans to know that I really write my music from personal things that have happened to me currently or in the past. I’m not going to be one of those artists that has a bunch of songs about going out to the club ya know?  That’s just not me.

What would you tell up and coming artists that are trying to get into the industry?

-I would first ask, “Do you go to sleep dreaming about music, and wake up thinking about it?” if the answer is yes I would say then go for it because I believe those really are the people that can make it, and to stay true to yourself and stand up for what you believe in. Its really easy to get walked all over in this industry so you kind of have to be your own body guard.

What is one album and artist that you find yourself listening to currently (old or new) and why – “a must listen to.”

- I listen to so much music but I would say that Adele is amazing and I think she is the best artist out there right now. She’s so soulful and inspiring, and honest which is what I look for when I listen to other artists.

If you were to cover one song from any artist’s library, what song would you choose that you could put a Ryan Adames stamp on and why?

-I would like to say Michael Jackson “Dirty Diana” because I absolutely love him and that song, but you just can’t because his music is so perfect the way it is. I actually am planning on doing a cover so I don’t want to give it away but it’s a throwback to the 80’s which will be new for me because I haven’t recorded a song that wasn’t written by myself so it will be a fun process I think because I’ll want to change some things around to make it my own.

When people listen to music from Ryan Adames, what do you want them to remember about your music?

- I want them to think, wow he wrote this, he was experiencing this, and it sounds so different than whats out there. I might not be the best guitar player, or singer but what I have is honesty and passion. I’ve never gone into the studio and a producer gave me a track and said here record this, I have co produced and written every single song I have recorded, but I’m proud of that because a lot of artists now don’t have any input on what they’re singing about.

How would you want someone to describe a Ryan Adames concert when seeing you live to others?

-Electric! The best part of my job is being able to put on a show, I feel most alive when I’m on stage and I think that comes through when you see me perform. I want it to be like you are going to see a circus show, its so crazy yet you can’t take your eyes off it and I really want it to be inspiring because a little over a year ago I began recording music so its amazing to see my journey which will show in my performance.

Who are some of your role models inside and out of the music industry and why?

-Well first I would say my Mama, who is deaf, she inspired me to be myself and follow my dreams. She busted her ass cleaning bathrooms, and whatever she could to make ends meat. She’ll kill me for saying it but she’s 56 and looks better than most 40 year olds so I have learned a lot from her. Michael Jackson has always been a big inspiration for me too, I really believe no one could ever top him and his talent. I saw “This is It” 3 times in the theatre and cried like a baby every single time. He left a mark on the world that will never be forgotten

What are some of the lessons that you have learned thus far in the music business?

-I think the biggest lesson has been to trust my instinct. In the beginning of course you want to say things because you feel a certain way but you don’t know how to tell someone you hate the way that sounds or whatever, luckily my Mama didn’t raise me like that and I have spoken my mind, maybe a little too much. I do think that when it comes to your passion though you should never let anyone have authority over that. Every gut feeling I’ve had has really been for the better and I don’t regret a single decision.

Is there a dream venue for you to perform at, why?

- I would typically say Staples Center, or Madison Square Gardens, but I just want to see my name in lights! I do really want to perform on Ellen, haha, one dream at a time!

What made you get into the music industry?

Destiny =) Haha I just always had a passion for music. Love to sing, Love to write, Love to perform… but most of all I wanted to give people that same escape and feeling that good music gives me.

What was your first gig?

Jeez… I’m not sure exactly. Lol probably a house party back in high school.

What was your first milestone as a musical artist?

I would have to say performing live on MTV. It let me know that I had it in me to perform on such a big stage.

What is it like getting into the music industry?

I’m not really sure how to answer that. Making the decision to go after your dream in the music industry is really a leap of faith. Believing that you have what it takes to be successful. And then trying to become successful in the music industry is like trying to figure out how to break into the most advanced bank vault, even though you are not really sure where the bank keeps it.

Who are some of the artists that are part of your “dream list” that you would love to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with as many talented artists as I can to give me a chance to make all different kinds of great music and to learn from each one of them.

Tell us about your current project you are working on.

I am releasing my current single LoveSong which is a remake of The Cure, as well as some original tracks to follow. They all have an Electro feel with some elements of Dub Step and Hip Hop.

Where do you draw upon for inspiration when writing new material?

Whatever is going on in my life at the time. Sometimes a random idea just pops in to my head that I want to write about.

What would you tell up and coming artists that are trying to get into the industry?

Just to stay positive and motivated. Never let someone’s negative opinion get to you. Learn as much as you can about how the music industry works. Don’t get overwhelmed. Focus on one thing at a time. Don’t try to please everyone. Make the music that is in your heart and soul. And if this is what you really want to do, never ever give up.

Tell us about meeting Rank Frizzo aka “The Mavrik" (Producer) who you collaborate with and how your success together has worked so well.

I met him my freshmen year of high school. We seemed to have a lot in common, especially a love and passion for music so we clicked right off the bat. Not only did we become best friends, but we developed a musical chemistry together that is hard to explain or deny.

Tell us about how you came about writing “Alive” one of your latest singles.

That song was actually written by one of my best friends in the days right after my Father had past away. After hearing it we both decided that I should record it.

Your version of “Love Song” from the 80’s group The Cure is hot, what made you look at covering this track is there any emotional significance and story?

Why thank you. =) Haha I just have always loved that song and I wanted to bring it into today’s dance music world so that new listeners could fall in love with the song all over again.

How do you choose cover tracks to sing?

Oh idk they kinda choose me. =)

When people listen to music from Richie Arci, what do you want them to remember about your music?

That it gave them goose bumps. =)

How would you want someone to describe a Richie Arci concert when seeing you live to others?

Like the sickest rollercoaster ride they have ever been on.

Who are some of your role models inside and out of the music industry and why?

My Mother has always been a role model to me. She has been such a hard working single mom for as long as I can remember, and no matter how hard things got she would never give up and always find a way to get things done. She has a really big heart and is a really great person that has instilled many values and principles into me.

What are some of the lessons that you have learned thus far in the music business?

Trust your gut, not everything that people tell you. Don’t try to be like someone else, just be yourself. And don’t try to please everyone.

Is there a dream venue for you to perform at, why?

Definetly the Meadowlands and Madison Square Garden because those are the venues closest to my home and the places where I would go to concerts and sit in the crowd dreaming of the day when I would get to be the one up on the stage.

(Music and Lyrics by Jonny Blu and Bob Malone)

I don't want nothin’ melancholy/Just a little eggnog and holly /On this holiday with you /So hurry up don't keep me waitin’ /I'm in the mood for celebrating /Just want a holiday for two /As long as I’m with you /I don’t care what we do /A cozy fire or snowflakes under the moon /Grab some candy canes and go ice fishin’ /As long as we’re together we can only win /When you’re around it’s Christmas the whole year through… Go! /I don't want nothin’ melancholy /Just a little eggnog and holly /On this holiday with you /So hurry up don't keep me waitin’ /I'm in the mood for celebrating
Just want a holiday for two /Let's get away, nothing too cliché /A trip to Rome for some drinks at a small cafe /We could sink our feet in some Hawaiian sand /Or drink hot cocoa with a marching band
I'll be your Santa baby so take my hand... Oh!/I don't want nothin’ melancholy /Just a little eggnog and holly /On this holiday with you /So hurry up don't keep me waitin’ /I'm in the mood for celebrating /Just want a holiday for two/Ooh, have a holly jolly! /Nothin’ melancholy! /Just a holly… Jolly (boom) /Holiday for two!

What made you get into the music industry?

I loved music all my life went to piano lessons when I was a child and always loved to sing as well as a kid. when I started going out to clubs during my millitary service I was amazed of the power that the dj has on the audiance. He controls the night, the party, the energy and since some of my friends were djs, I wanted to learn as well. So i did like 7 years ago I knew all the promoters in the gay comunity here of all the bars and small clubs and after a really short time I started to dj in the local night scene.

What was your first gig?

It was in a local gym actually near my house I use to practice over there since they had a dj booth with 2 turn tables and 2 cd players.

What was your first milestone as a dj/producer?

In Berlin on Easter at the Bangaloo Club, that was my first one abroad in 2007 the place was packed like 2000 or more people and it was amazing playing here is fine but when u go to other places and dj in big venues thats awsome.

What is it like getting into the music industry and getting career in Tel Aviv?

Hard, its almost imposible to get a stedy job clubs have their own residents.  and its hard getting inside those excpt once in a while I keep moving from club to club all the time especially in the gay secne because the music here its pretty old fasion and I always try new things/beats.

You have worked with some very great artists such as Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Kristine W, Blake Lewis and many more, who are some artists that are on your dream list to work with?

Too many to list!

Tell us about your current project you are working on.
