George Michael: In Memorium

George Michael -the man with the velvet vocals that soared passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 53. George was found unresponsive in his home in Goring-on-Thames right before 2 pm. It is a very sad period in the music world where too often a word which truly was applicable for him; an entertainer and a true artist.

George Michael since being part of the duo Wham! in the early 1980s cemented himself into the music industry as one of the most talented voices. The first album for George Michael was with Wham! entitled; Fantastic (1983). With hits like; "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" "Careless Whisper" "Father Figure" "Freedom '90" "I Want Your Sex" are just a few exhibiting his remarkable writing and finding songs that touched one and all. His duets have been with extraordinary artists like; Aretha Franklin for "I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)" where they won a Grammy in 1988. Then with Elton John performing for Live Aid; "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me."

Rick Astley hits the road in 2017!

Rick Astley - that is right one of my all time favorite singers whom I have loved since growing-up is hitting the stage in a big way in 2017! Rick Astley has been very busy with his new album release this year entitled; "50" which landed him on top of Billboard Charts after a 23 year hiatus. Rick has performed in 2016 already to sold-out audiences in Europe and in the United States/Canada.

2017, is going to keep Rick Astley continually busy with his full out tour in support of his well received and chart topping album; 50. Dates have already been confirmed in the UK along with the United States which I am very happy to announce. I have never had the pleasure to see this singer live but finally will be soon! "Simply Christmas" is full of lush and sentimental holiday classics such as; “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” “First Noel”and many others. Each I have found to be stellar between the arrangement and of course Leslie's vocals are perfect. I dare say this is one of the best Christmas albums to be released this year and deserves to be in your collection.
