Anoushka Shankar has "Traces of You" on her mind.

Anoushka Shankar - is releasing a brand new album entitled "Traces of You" (her 7th studio album) on October 22nd on Deutsche Grammophon, and is available for pre-order through Amazon and iTunes.

In case you are not aware of her music Anoushka Shankar is an Indian sitar player and composer,

whose famous father was Ravi Shankar who was also an acclaimed sitar player who passed away last year. His passing happened while Anoushka was mid way through recording this current album. The album was then focused on her dear father's passing and a retrospect to him and his life. The mood from the start to finish is beautifully done with the chanting and sitar. Just hearing the music with no vocals and then with vocals sends one on a journey. Close your eyes and feel the music take you away to another place with bright colors, energy which relaxes and then picks up the beat to get your heart beat faster. What a lovely journey Anoushka takes you on. On this album Anoushka's half-sister Norah Jones collaborates vocally. There are a total of three tracks featuring both of the ladies which is a soulful experience.
