Rick Astley's Beautiful Life!

Rick Astley - our man with the famous "baritone voice" is back with another brand new album entitled; Beautiful Life. This album is ushering in a new feel for his brand with a funk/pop rock feel. A very current vibe yet we do not loose the trademark vocals and tracks with deep meaning as in the past. Rick Astley is someone that since his first studio album being 1987's Whatever You Need Somebody to Hold Me In Your Arms in 1988, Body and Soul in 1993, 50 in 2016 and his brand new album; Beautiful Life 2018 he has been true to his vocals and overall sound which keeps his fans delighted and devoted for over 30 years, impressive!

"Chance to Dance" is the first track on the new album which is a catchy track. This track is the prime example of where Rick Astley has broadened his sound to keep current. "She Makes Me" is the sound that we all know and love bringing his vocals to a slow ballad. "Shivers" is then a track to get the listener back on his/her feet and get down (a very radio friendly track).

The overall album "Beautiful Life" does the fan and Rick Astley justice. One will be very happy listening not just to the singles though to the overall album. All I have to say is; Keep The Music Going Rick Astley, We Love It!

Tim Schou is at the "Altar!"

Tim Schou - one of our favorite artists on the rise is Tim Schou. Tim has a brand new single out entitled; "Altar" which has an accompanied music video. Along with this big news for this recording artist is that he is now signed with BMG in Germany, congrats Tim!

Additionally, Tim is touring in Europe with other hot artists and we can cross our fingers that he will start adding dates in other areas of the globe such as the United States and others. Here at; The Beat! we are so excited for the big musical endeavors Tim is on right now. If you have not checked-out his music take a listen and watch to his new single and you'll see just why we here are big fans!

Patti LaBelle is paying "Bel Hommage"

Patti LaBelle - this classy diva has released her first ever jazz album entitled; "Bel Hommage" (out now). This is Patti LaBelle's first album in 10 years since her "Miss Patti's Christmas" (2007, Def Soul Classics). Patti this time decided to take her vocals and utilize them on an album featuring all jazz classics. I have to say that Patti LaBelle's first hit into this genre is very well done.

This year marks Patti LaBelle's 55th anniversary in the music business with her very first single back in 1962. The tracks on this album include; “Moanin,’” “Peel Me a Grape" “Don’t Explain”  “Moody’s Mood for Love" “Folks on the Hill” and my personal favorite track on the album; “Here’s To Life.” Patti LaBelle shows in all capacities that she can deliver with style and grace her vocals into this genre that many have tried and failed. The track that truly exhibits this is my favorite; "Here's To Life" where the vocals are clear/crisp and beautifully accompanied with a piano and nothing else. I truly think that this track alone exhibits why this lady of song has had such a long career spanning six decades. All I have to say is BRAVO for Patti LaBelle for continuing to show that a lady in her 70's can and will inspire others and show their greatness.

Sara Evans wants to be on a "Marquee Sign!"

Sara Evans - the country star has released a brand new album entitled; "Words" and the first single being "Marquee Sign" is a hit. This single and the music video leaves you no doubt that Sara has a strong message of how powerful and ex flame can be and what that person puts you through. One can tell that Sara is a survivor and holds strong with such verses:  "If you woulda been lit up like a marquee sign, I coulda saved myself some wasted time," This album is the first release in three years and once again will provide number one hits and continues her country roots with classics. The album has 13 tracks with one acoustic version of Sara's hit; "A Little Bit Stronger."

Liam Payne wants to "Strip That Down"

Liam Payne - this former One Direction band member is now joining the ranks of other fellow mates with releasing his own solo projects. The first single for Liam is the very radio friendly track; "Strip That Down." (featuring Migos and rapper Quavo).

The brand new single was co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac and produced by Payne and Mac. In this track Liam states;  ...."I'm not changing the way that I used to be/ I just want to have fun and get rowdy," he insists. "One Coke and Bacardi, sipping lightly/ When I walk inside the party, girls on me/ F1 type Ferrari, six-gear speed/ Girl, I love it when your body grinds on me."

As for the actual album for Liam that as of yet has not been announced. Upon One Direction's hiatus in August 2015, each member has gone the solo route. Louis Tomlinson released his debut single; "Just Hold On" with DJ Steve Aoki which lent itself to his 2nd single being; "Slow Hands." Niall Horan released his being; "This Town" and Harry Styles released his debut album. I am sure this is only the beginning of material from each of these singers, the interesting part is to see whom stands the test of time for their solo career longevity.

Shania Twain is "Now!"

Shania Twain - one of the Queen's of Country is returning back to the musical scene with a brand new very long awaited album entitled; "Now." This is the first studio album since "Up!" which was released in 2002 so needless to say 15 years is long enough for fans to be ready for new material.

"Now" is to be released on September 29th of this year on Mercury Nashville Records. Two singles have been released thus far the first being; "Life's About to Get Good" with a very autobiographical song and music video. Shania personalized this track that closed a chapter of her life with her ex-husband while acknowledging her lovely career which opens to a new musical and self discovery journey. The second single is more of a ballad which many fans adore from her songs. This song being; "Poor Me." Look-out for this year to continue to be a stellar one for Shania with her going on the road touring and much more!

Tim Schou sings Morrison!

Tim Schou - is one talented singer/songwriter that "The Beat!" is feverishly supporting! Tim is one artist that has taken the world by storm with his music and is continuing with his brand new single entitled; "Morrison."

"Morrison" is one of those songs that showcases Tim's vocals and wide range of vocal versatility though his own written material. The listener can feel that Tim is emotionally involved with the song and has again dug deep to get those raw emotions. The video is simple though powerful in it's own right. Take a listen to Tim Schou's hugely noteworthy and attention getting new single that if you are not already will make you a fan!

Tim Schou is a huge supporter of our publication and we have been for him equally. It is great to see that someone like Tim loves the platform such as this where it speaks to all music and lovers of it on a global spectrum. Here is Tim in his own words about his new single; Morrison, enjoy!

In Tim Schou's Own Words:

"I wrote and recorded "Morrison" in Stockholm with Swedish songwriter Litens Anton and Swedish Stockholm based producer Kristoffer Eriksson.

The concept I wanted to create with the “Morrison” video was the search for the boundaries and the way we sometimes feel like we’re balancing on the edge of insanity, with the thoughts that’s going on inside of our heads, and that’s how the man in the suit (portraying a devil like figure) was suppose to be a figure of the thoughts inside of our heads. It’s almost like it’s a fight between the Devil and God, or the good angel vs. the evil angel. The good decisions vs the bad decisions etc.

I had Danish actor Pelle Emil Hebsgaard playing the devil and I was surprised how it actually turned out. In my eyes, he’s one of the best in Denmark with his fearless acting. He never compromises and always leaves me believing what he’s trying to get across, so I’m very happy to have him featured in this little film about angels and demons."
