2cellos go to Celloverse!

2cellos  |  new album: Celloverse  | out now!

2cellos - is a duo of musicians comprised of two Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser. Both gentlemen for many years prior to joining forces and creating 2cellos were very competitive against one another since more often that not going for the same prize as being the best cellist in their homeland of Croatia.

Eventually, both of these cellists were savvy enough to join together and create 2cellos which by 2011 was signed by Sony Masterworks and have been ever since. A match made in heaven for both the musicians, label, artist's freedom and more. Their first album was self titled being released in
2cellos & drummer live in Boston! (Feb 20th 2016)
2011. This had both of the gentlemen getting huge praise for fusing their love of classical music and arranging it with current music such as tunes from Nirvana, U2, Sting, Coldplay, among others. The first album proved to be an enormous hit giving them singles that were beloved from their dedicated fans. 2011, is a HUGE year for 2cellos where Elton John took them on his world tour as his opening acts. This opened the duo to on a global level where they played with Elton John for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. In2ition is the second album released with yet more of a fusion of rock and classical melded together. With appearances on; Glee, The Today Show, and Ellen DeGeneres Show they solidified that they are not a flash in the pan but are legit musicians with global appeal whom are never going away.

2cellos most current album is their 3rd entitled; Celloverse (2015/Check-out the below for the entire special edition track list). It is great to see that both Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser are bringing their
style and fusion into classical music. The marriage of classic and modern day rock, pop etc is linking a bridge of generations whom many never thought would agree on anything musically. Their most recent album has fantastic tunes on it such as; "The Trooper," "Thunderstruck," "Shape of My Heart." "Mombasa," "They Don't Care About Us," "Live and Let Die," and "Celloverse."

I actually as a note recently attended a concert of 2cellos in the United States. It was something that is a highlight of my concerts and is truly worth going to see. If you are looking to brighten your music catalog then look no further, 2cellos are THE BEST LIVE! They do not disappoint. Go and see them and have fun like I did!
