George Michael: In Memorium



George Michael -the man with the velvet vocals that soared passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 53. George was found unresponsive in his home in Goring-on-Thames right before 2 pm. It is a very sad period in the music world where too often a word which truly was applicable for him; an entertainer and a true artist.

George Michael since being part of the duo Wham! in the early 1980s cemented himself into the music industry as one of the most talented voices. The first album for George Michael was with Wham! entitled; Fantastic (1983). With hits like; "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" "Careless Whisper" "Father Figure" "Freedom '90" "I Want Your Sex" are just a few exhibiting his remarkable writing and finding songs that touched one and all. His duets have been with extraordinary artists like; Aretha Franklin for "I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)" where they won a Grammy in 1988. Then with Elton John performing for Live Aid; "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me."
